Polish Connection / Child or cash benefit
Child benefit and cash benefit for families with small children are payable to persons who are employed in Norway, are self-employed there or receive benefits from the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) (e.g. unemployment benefit (Norw. dagpenger) or work assessment allowance (AAP)). The main condition to obtain the benefit is membership in the the Norwegian Social Security System (Norw. Folketrygden). In addition, the applicant should have the same address as the child, or at least maintain contact with him. In addition, the benefits collected should be spent on that child.
Child benefit (Norw. barnetrygd)
NOTE! If you are entitled to receive the allowance in your country, NAV will only pay the difference between the benefits, if any.
Cash benefit for families with small children (Norw. kontantstøtte)
NOTE- cash benefit for families with small children!
In order to obtain the allowance, a parent exercising parental authority (if the child lives with two parents, then this requirement applies to both of them) must be a member of the Norwegian social security system for 5 years prior to the application (insurance in EEA countries, including Poland, is accounted for) which should be confirmed by a certificate issued by the relevant institution.
